Coaching
Approach l Recommended Coaching Days
Introduction

How often have you left a training course full of enthusiasm to apply your newfound knowledge and then reality imposes itself and your good intentions flounder? To help individuals and teams avoid this, and to get started on the learning, a minimum number of days of structured coaching are recommended for each of the training programmes. The coaching (or if you would prefer "consultancy support"), is focused on the projects and initiatives that you are planning or are already in progress.

The coaching can be for individuals or teams that have attended the course and can be organised as half day or full day sessions depending on your requirements. The initial coaching programme should be agreed prior to the course. The minimum recommended for each programme is shown below.

“There is no limit to the amount of good that people can accomplish, if they don’t care who gets the credit”

Approach

To provide maximum support a structured coaching process is recommended:

Each of the trainees is given a questionnaire to complete regarding the designated project or programme, their performance, see right, and their specific coaching needs.

This information is then collated and reviewed by the coach so that the critical areas for improvement can be identified.

A coaching discussion is then held, with the individual or team, that focuses on the critical areas. An individual or team action plan is agreed.
